Tithing the first 10% of our income is an act of obedience, trust, and worship to God. In Proverbs 3:9–10, we’re instructed to “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops,” and the promise follows that God will provide in abundance. The principle of tithing—giving the first tenth—originates in the Old Testament (Leviticus 27:30) as a way to recognize that everything we have comes from God.
By giving the first and not the leftovers, we declare that God is our priority and provider, trusting Him to bless what remains.

Scripture calls us to look beyond ourselves and care for the needs of others. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
RED BUCKET
Ministry
For more than 20 years, our Red Bucket Ministry has been a simple yet powerful way to live out this calling. Every Sunday our church family reach into their pockets and drop a few dollars in red buckets to meet the needs of individuals and families in our community—often people who don’t even attend our church. Whether it’s helping with utility bills, providing groceries, or stepping in during a crisis, this ministry allows us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a practical and meaningful way. It’s a reminder that our love for God is best shown when we love others well.
