SERVE THE CITY
May 6th will be a little bit of a different day for our church. We'll have a shortened service followed by an awesome opportunity to put our faith into action. It will be a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we serve our community by doing a number of projects around the city. Below you can find some more information and sign up!
You have questions and we have answers
What does the schedule look like?
We'll meet at 11:00 for service like we normally do, but service will only last for about 35-45 minutes. Afterwards, we'll have our teams meet and head over to their job site where we plan on serving from about 1:00-4:00. (it could be less time depending on the project)
What should I wear?
Since we'll be doing a several different types of projects that day, we would advise to come with some clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. You could change into them after service, or you could wear them to church if you'd like. But bring comfortable clothes that you can do some work in.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes, we will be providing sack lunches for all of our volunteers. Your group can eat them at the church before you leave, or you can eat them at the job site.
Will anything be provided for children and youth?
Yes, we will offer opportunities for children from Preschool to 5th grade to serve here at the church. Teens will be serving with our Teens minister at an off site location and they will have transportation provided for them. For more information feel free to contact Stephen Gadwah, Matt Johnson, or Mike Hopkins.
How do I get involved?
If you are already a part of a small group or a Sunday school class, we have assigned you to serve with your group which will serve at a job site. If you are not already part of a small group or Sunday school class, you can sign up easily by clicking here.
